To rent our vehicles, you must meet the age and driving license requirements specified below:

Cars and vans:

• Minimum age: 21 years old.

• Minimum driving license duration (B category): 2 years.

• Drivers between 21 and 24 years old with at least 2 years of license must pay a €25 per day young driver surcharge.

• Drivers aged 25 years and older with at least 2 years of license have no surcharge.

Campers:

• Minimum age requirement: 25 years old.

• Minimum driving license duration (B category): 2 years.

Driving license validity:
Only B category driving licenses issued by the European Union or valid international licenses are accepted. All licenses must be valid and not expired at the time of rental.

Surcharge for drivers aged 65 to 85:
If you are between 65 and 85 years old, a €25 per day surcharge will apply.

At BaoVans, we offer you an exciting journey with a limit of 200 km per day, which is usually more than enough to enjoy your adventure. If you exceed this limit, don’t worry—there is just a charge of €0.30 for each extra km, which equals €3 for every 10 additional km.

However, you can add kilometers to your adventure with our 200 km packs for €30 each. Don’t run out of kilometers to explore!

We also offer a 100 km extra pack for €19.

• Standard pick-up and drop-off: Vehicles must be picked up and returned at our office on Calle Villarroel 58, Barcelona, during office hours.

• 24/7 pick-up and drop-off: If you choose the Premium Coverage, you can pick up and return the vehicle at any time at our private parking.

• Home delivery and pick-up: If you want us to deliver or pick up the vehicle at a specific location, you must select the Home Delivery add-on when making your reservation.

  • Within the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB): €50.

  • Outside the AMB: The price will be calculated according to location, availability, and dates. If your location is outside the AMB, still select the Home Delivery add-on, and we will contact you to coordinate the delivery and provide a personalized quote.

To ensure your peace of mind, it will be necessary to leave a deposit, the amount of which will depend on the type of vehicle, insurance excess, and selected coverage.

• The deposit can be paid by card on the day of pickup or via bank transfer a few days in advance.

• It will be fully refunded once the vehicle’s condition has been checked, although some banks may take up to 7 to 15 days to process the refund.

If you want to reduce the amount of the excess and deposit or add roadside assistance, you can choose our Premium Coverage for a worry-free trip. Contact us and choose the option that best suits your needs!

To confirm your booking, you must make a payment of 100% of the total reservation amount.

The vehicle is delivered in clean condition and with the fuel tank as it is at the time of delivery, following our “same-same” policy: the vehicle must be returned in the same condition. If the tank is returned with less fuel, the difference will be charged to the renter at the end of the rental.

If this policy is not followed and none of our extras has been contracted, the corresponding charges will be applied. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the quality of service for all our customers.

Free Cancellation:
If you choose the free cancellation extra, you can cancel at any time without giving any explanation, up to 8 hours before the rental starts, and you will receive a full refund.

Standard Cancellation:

• If you cancel 90 days or more in advance, you will receive a full refund.

• If you cancel between 31 and 89 days before the rental starts, a 50% penalty of the total amount will apply.

• If you cancel less than 30 days in advance, a 100% penalty of the total amount will apply (no refund).

The policies related to pets vary depending on the type of vehicle. Some vehicles do not allow pets, while others do if you select the pet extra. This ensures proper cleaning and disinfection, allowing us to offer great service to all our customers.

We recommend checking the specific pet policy of each vehicle before making your booking. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.

The driver agrees to comply with all traffic regulations, both national and international, during the rental period. If the vehicle is going to leave the Iberian Peninsula, the driver must notify BaoVans in advance. Road safety is our priority, and your cooperation is essential to ensure a safe and pleasant travel experience.
