1. Hire by the hour if you don’t need the whole day. To shift a few IKEA flat-packs or clear out a storage unit, half a day is plenty.
2. Pick the right size. An L3H3 for four boxes is money thrown away — and parking one in the Eixample is a problem you don’t need.
3. Make the most of cumulative kilometres. Hire for three days and you have 600 km to play with, even if you do 400 of them in one go.
4. Avoid Spanish long weekends and August. As with any rental, availability drives the price. Around puentes (public holidays that fall next to a weekend) and in high summer, booking early pays off.
Every vehicle is hired with fully comprehensive cover subject to a deductible — €2,500 on vans, €5,000 on campervans. The Deductible Reduction is optional and brings that down to €800, and it also includes roadside assistance up to 500 km from our office.
Extra kilometres are €0.30 each. If you already know you’ll go further, it’s cheaper to add a pack: 200 km for €40, or 100 km for €25.
No. Villarroel 58 is our own office, not a pick-up point with a premium attached. We also offer 24/7 collection and return from a private car park, and home delivery from €50 within the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB).
A standard category B licence, held for at least 2 years, and you must be 21 or over (25 for campervans). Licences issued in the EU or EEA are valid in Spain as they are. If yours is from outside the EU/EEA, contact us before booking and we’ll confirm what applies to your case.
