What is not covered by the Premium Coverage?

When you book a vehicle with BaoVans, a Basic Third-Party Liability Coverage with deductible is included at no extra cost. This coverage protects against damages caused to third parties in the event of an accident, but does not cover damages to the rented vehicle itself.

If you want greater protection against damage to the vehicle, BaoVans offers two additional coverage options: STG Coverage and Premium Coverage. The Premium option is the most complete, reducing the deposit/deductible to €0 (depending on the type of vehicle), and includes 24/7 roadside assistance and priority customer support.

However, even with Premium Coverage, there are certain situations and types of damage that are not covered, and for which the customer will remain financially responsible. These are the main exclusions:

  • Flat tires (caused by poor driving, off-road use, etc.).

  • Damage to third parties due to carelessness or reckless driving (using a phone, GPS, speeding, not applying the handbrake, etc.).

  • Refueling with incorrect fuel.

  • Damage to wheels and tires (curb hits, bad driving, etc.).

  • Lost or broken keys/remotes.

  • Theft of the vehicle with the keys left inside.

  • Damage to upholstery and locks (burns, cuts, theft attempts, etc.).

  • Interior damage (excessive dirt, floor or panel damage, etc.).

  • Drilling holes in the bodywork or removing stickers without permission.

  • Loss or unanchoring of seats.

  • Damage or loss of accessories (antenna, jack, warning triangles, extinguisher, vest, puncture kit, documents, etc.).

  • Engine damage due to negligence (overload, improper driving, etc.).

  • Undercarriage damage (driving off-road or impacts with speed bumps, bollards, etc.).

  • Collisions due to height misjudgment (e.g., in parking garages).

  • Clutch damage (improper use, shifting without full depression, etc.).

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • Damage caused by animals.

  • Any other damage caused by negligence or improper use.

Important: In case of an accident, you must notify us within 24 hours of the incident and before returning the vehicle. You must also submit a properly completed accident report. If the report is not correctly filled out, it will not be accepted, and the coverage will not apply. Additionally, you must provide any supporting documents that may help us process the claim within 7 days of the incident.
