To rent our vehicles, you must meet the following age and driving license requirements:

Cars and Vans:

• Minimum age: 21 years.

• At least 2 years of holding a valid category B driving license.

• Drivers aged between 21 and 24, with at least 2 years of driving experience, must pay a surcharge of €25 per day.

• Drivers aged 25 to 64, with at least 2 years of driving experience, are not subject to any surcharge.

• Drivers aged between 65 and 85 must pay a surcharge of €25 per day.

Campers:

• Minimum mandatory age: 25 years.

• At least 2 years of holding a valid category B driving license.

Driving License Validity
Only category B driving licenses issued by the European Union or valid international driving permits are accepted. All licenses must be valid and not expired at the time of rental.

At BaoVans, we offer you an exciting journey with a daily limit of 200 km, which is usually more than enough to enjoy your adventure. If you exceed this limit, don’t worry! There is simply an additional cost of €0.30 per extra km, which equals €3 for every additional 10 km.

However, you can extend your adventure by adding extra mileage with our packs:

• 100 km extra for €19

• 200 km extra for €30

• Standard Pick-up & Return: Vehicles must be picked up and returned at our office on Calle Villarroel 58, Barcelona, during business hours.

• 24/7 Pick-up & Return: If you choose the Premium Coverage, you can pick up and return the vehicle at any time in our private parking.

• Home Delivery & Pick-up: If you need the vehicle delivered or picked up at your location, you must select the Home Delivery extra when booking.

  • Within the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB): €50.

  • Outside the AMB: The price will be determined based on location, availability, and dates. Even if your location is outside the AMB, please select the Home Delivery extra, and we will contact you to coordinate and send you a personalized quote.

To ensure your peace of mind, a security deposit is required, which varies depending on the type of vehicle and selected coverage.

• The deposit can be paid by card on the pick-up day or via bank transfer a few days before.

• It will be fully refunded once the vehicle’s condition has been verified, although some banks may take 1 to 2 days to process the refund.

If you want to reduce the deposit amount and add roadside assistance, you can opt for our Premium Coverage for a worry-free trip. Contact us and choose the option that best suits your needs!

To confirm your reservation, you must make a 100% payment of the total reservation value.

The vehicle is delivered in good cleaning condition and with the fuel tank as it is at the time of delivery, following our “same-same” policy: the vehicle must be returned in the same condition. If the fuel tank is returned with less fuel, the difference will be charged to the renter at the end of the rental.

If this policy is not followed and none of our extras have been purchased, the appropriate charges will apply. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the quality of service for all our customers.

If you choose the free cancellation extra, you can cancel at any time without providing any reason, up to 8 hours before the rental start and receive a full refund.

Standard Cancellation:

• If you cancel 90 days or more in advance, you will receive a full refund.

• If you cancel between 31 and 89 days before the rental starts, a 50% penalty of the total amount will apply.

• If you cancel less than 30 days before the rental start, a 100% penalty of the total amount will apply (no refund).

The pet policy varies depending on the type of vehicle. Some vehicles do not allow pets, while others allow them with the purchase of a pet extra. This ensures proper cleaning and disinfection, allowing us to provide excellent service to all our customers.

The driver agrees to comply with all traffic laws, both national and international, during the rental period. If the vehicle is to leave the Iberian Peninsula, the driver must notify BaoVans in advance. Road safety is our priority, and your cooperation is essential to ensure a safe and enjoyable travel experience.
